What is Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)?
Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is a fairly new collection of standards geared toward providing a system that facilitates the transferring of data, such as electronic health records, between healthcare applications and also for describing data formats. The model was designed by the Health Level Seven International healthcare standards organisation.
