What is American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)?
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) is a voluntary standards organization that was established in the U.S. in 1898 to come up with standards for the technical development of various products and devices. In healthcare, ASTM comes up with standards for medical and surgical instruments, and ASTM Committee E31 develops standards for healthcare information.
