Excel With 314e
Responsible for working on 314e BI/Analytics related internal projects and representing 314e at customer sites and/or interacting with customers as needed to lead the development of reporting and analytics solutions. This position is expected to gather business needs, document requirements, identify appropriate data sources, develop reports, and deliver them to customers. This position is also responsible for analyzing the information in the reports developed to provide help to customers in interpreting the information to meet business needs. This role works with a highly diverse set of customers in the business and represents department leadership in complex, often high-risk projects and initiatives across multiple regions or stakeholder groups. This position may be responsible for the development and implementation of semantic data layers such as Business Objects Universes and custom database objects to support reporting and analytics solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years prior experience with Reporting, ETL Tools, dashboards and visualization tools
- 5+ years prior working knowledge of modern data warehousing and business intelligence best practices and standards
- Experience with Business intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, looker and other tools
- 2-3 years of experience working with ETL tool sets such as informatica, SSIS, etc
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related Healthcare Provider IT experience as a data analyst, data architect, business architect, enterprise architect, solutions architect or similar roles
- 2+ years prior experience with Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Snowflake or Databricks)
- Experience working with EMR such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc in data extraction, reporting and analytics development
- Epic certifications in clarity, caboodle and cogito preferred
Role Objectives
- Analyze information in the reports developed to identify issues, trends, or interesting findings to be shared with the business customer
- Help the business customer to interpret and understand complex data in reports and how to apply them in improving patient care
- Partner with diverse groups of business leaders to understand the current workflows and collaborate on ways to improve consistency of data in the system
- Lead the investigation of complex issues or problems to determine the best solutions
- Lead the development of new, innovative reporting and analytics solutions to help customers adapt to the changing healthcare environment and new models of care
- Assist customers with development and implementation of data/technical architecture and using tools such as Oracle, Business Objects, Toad, SQL Developer, and other tools
- Use data analytics tools in the creation of universes, data marts, data lakes and custom database objects required to build the underlying semantic layer for fulfilling business needs
- Leverage detailed knowledge of performance tuning to optimize the performance of customer analytics environments
- Proactively identify and communicate project deliverables, milestones, tasks, and contingency plans
- Manage customer project implementations to support Complex BI projects at Epic implementations
- Leverage standard tools and tuning techniques to manage system performance and capacity
- Serve as the main point of contact for Customers during the implementation process
- Plan, execute and direct implementation tasks at Customer sites, as well as internally within 314e
- On-site project management at Customer sites
- Develop implementation project plans, including timelines and managing those timelines
- Facilitate the resolution of open or outstanding issues
- Document history of the Customer implementation
- Schedule appropriate resources to execute tasks outlined in Implementation project plan
- Meet and/or exceed goals set by Management
